Email list growth is one of the most crucial and important elements of an online business. No matter how much advertising your business does, you can't grow a customer base by word of mouth alone. The first way is something that I used myself and that was simply submitting my newsletter to many different directories. This is one of the easiest ways to get your name in front of people and get them to sign up for your list. All you have to do is use your own personal link on each and every page of your newsletter. You don't even have to include a link back to your website, although if you do, you are automatically entered into a sweepstakes or contest.

Most newsletters will automatically put the links into the newsletter and include them in your signature line. So for me it just meant signing up for several newsletters, adding the link, then making sure they sent me an email saying I had been included in their newsletter. If you want to try this approach out for yourself, you can do this at any of the major directories.

You can also opt to do the same thing with other websites, which is very easy with the addition of your website's link to the top of your newsletter. Here you can make the directories say that you are affiliated with them. So you can easily get them to place your URL in their signature, which also means that you can automatically enter into their sweepstakes or contests.

Another way to grow your list is by offering a discount on your newsletter. You could offer your subscribers an extra month of free service or maybe even a free gift basket with a special coupon code that you send out. Either way, this is another way to get people to participate in your mailing list, as well as getting you in front of them with your emails.

One of the best ways to make sure that your list grows is to focus your marketing efforts on just one business. By only promoting your business on your list, you will be able to get more inbound leads and subscribers. You may not even realize it at first, but you will actually get more leads because you will be offering more for them to receive.

This will basically let you send your free newsletter automatically to everyone who signed up for your list, so there's no chance that they miss a single one. It's pretty amazing when all of a sudden a product comes out and you know it's popular, you want to make sure that they are alerted, so you can offer them that free gift or a great deal.

Another way to have an email list to promote is to actually take people to your website from the list. By doing this, you will be able to build trust with your subscribers and allow them to feel more comfortable with you, which will increase your chances of success in your business.
